Neighbors complain about shooting range tied to Trumps

People who live near a 171-acre hunting reserve linked to President Trump’s two oldest sons are complaining about the noise now that it is being used as a shooting range.

A story by The Associated Press published Wednesday highlights complaints about noise from several neighbors to the New York site, some of who are not fans of the Trump family.

One neighbor said it’s like being in a war zone, while another claimed the windows in his house shake when the shooting takes place.

{mosads}The AP reports that the Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump appear to have acquired the property through limited liability companies.

Leather Hill Preserve LLC bought the land in 2013. Articles of organization for the company were filed by a Trump Organization executive out of New York City, according to the AP.

Trump Jr. named himself the company’s authorized person in 2013.

The AP obtained public records showing Trump Jr. listed as the owner of “DT Leather Hill Road LLC,” while Eric Trump was labeled the owner of “194 Leather Hill Road LLC.”

Jeffrey Ferraro, who is a money manager and was a state delegate at the Republican National Convention in 2016, is listed at the company’s organizer.

Ferraro told the AP he is the primary figure in charge of the company that owns the land, and that there is not a shooting range on the property.

“Who I bring and what I do on my private property, as long as it’s within my legal rights, is not a story for anyone,” Ferraro said, and referred to the Trumps as “private citizens just like anyone else.”

“Guns make noise. That’s all I can tell you,” he said.

However, neighbor Elisabetta Berghold said that when she confronted Ferraro about the noise, he said his “partners have the Secret Service coming, and they shoot, too.”

The Hill has reached out to the Secret Service and the Trump Organization for comment.
