Conway blasts Clinton: She won’t stop talking about 2016 election

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Friday ripped Hillary Clinton, accusing her of refusing to move on from the 2016 election.

Conway appeared on “Fox & Friends” and went after the former Democratic presidential nominee for saying it was unfair that critics tell her to “shut up” and “go away.” 

“They never said that to any man who was not elected,” Clinton said in a clip showed by the anchors. 

{mosads} Clinton also said she was committed to speaking out about “where our country is going” under President Trump.

Conway blasted Clinton for being ungracious following her campaign loss.

“She’s wrong comparing herself to those male candidates, Republican and Democratic, who lost presidential elections as well,” Conway said. “They were much more gracious about it.”

As for being a part of the political conversation, the only conversation she’s having these days “is about her and the 2016 election,” Conway said.

“You’ve got Democrats wanting to move forward off of her — look at their public comments — and into 2018,” Conway said.

If she wants to be involved in current politics and the upcoming midterm elections, she should discuss infrastructure, the opioid crisis, health care or taxes, Conway said.

Clinton was sharply criticized, including by Democrats, earlier this month for comments she made in India in which she said the parts of America that are “moving forward” voted for her in 2016, but Trump won the places “looking backwards.”

Trump frequently boasts about his victory over Clinton.

In a speech on Thursday, which was supposed to be about his infrastructure plan, Trump mentioned Clinton by name twice.

Earlier this month, Trump falsely claimed that he got 52 percent of the female vote in the 2016 election.

Trump received 52 percent of the vote from white women. Clinton received the majority of female votes, 54 percent.

Clinton was also criticized for saying that white married women in the Republican Party felt pressure to vote for the same candidates as their husband, boss or son.

Conway had previously told Clinton to “stop pretending you’re a feminist.”
