Alan Bean, 4th person to walk on the moon, dead at 86

Astronaut Alan Bean, who became the fourth person to walk on the moon and later created an artistic record of the Apollo program, has died, his family says.

He was 86 years old.

He flew on Apollo 12 and commanded the second crew to live and work on board Skylab.
