UK minister to Trump: ‘Where are your manners, Mr President?’

Samuel Phillip Gyimah, a Conservative member of Parliament, blasted President Trump on Friday after the president made critical comments about British Prime Minister Theresa May.

“Where are your manners, Mr President?” Gyimah said on Twitter the day after British tabloid The Sun published an interview in which the president criticizes May for her “soft” Brexit plan, among other critical comments.

{mosads}“If they do a deal like that, we would be dealing with the European Union instead of dealing with the U.K., so it will probably kill the deal,” Trump told the local paper.

Trump also said that he “would have done it much differently” in reference to the Brexit plan.

“I actually told Theresa May how to do it but she didn’t agree, she didn’t listen to me,” Trump said.

“She should negotiate the best way she knows how. But it is too bad what is going on,” he continued.

But on Friday, Trump gave a press conference with May in which he said on Brexit, “Whatever you’re going to do is OK with us.”

The president in the interview denied that he ever “said anything bad about” May in the interview after The Washington Post reported that he thinks the British leader is a “bossy schoolteacher.”

“That is fake news. I think she is a nice person. I get along with her very nicely. The Washington Post is totally fake. They are just a lobbyist for Amazon,” he told The Sun.
