Former Trump campaign spokeswoman blasts ‘disloyal’ Omarosa over tell-all book
Former Trump campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson is going on the offensive against reality TV show star and former Trump administration official Omarosa Manigault Newman, whose new tell-all book hits shelves Tuesday.
Pierson slammed the former White House aide for her “disloyal” behavior in a series of tweets Friday evening, claiming that Manigault Newman’s claims in her new book “Unhinged” that Trump is racist are untrue because a racist would never have employed an African-American woman such as Manigault Newman in his administration.
{mosads}”Turning on the man who helped create her brand, fund her venture, & gave her a top WH job for personal gain is very disloyal. A racist, by definition, would not give a strong black woman the time, nor the opportunity. Most people know what’s up here,” Pierson says in one post.
She went on to quote praise Manigault Newman has heaped on Trump in the past, prior to leaving the administration.
“She stuck by Trump because he has never stopped supporting her career,” Pierson continued several hours later. “After her time on ‘The Apprentice,’ she eventually partnered with Trump to create a reality dating reality show. #Unhinged (with friends like this…).”

Manigault Newman made headlines this week with claims that she heard a recording of an expletive-laden rant Trump issued while hosting “The Apprentice” for NBC. She claimed the president used the N-word in it.
She claimed in the book to have heard an account of the tape from a friend, but claimed on NPR this week that she heard the tape herself.
“I heard the tape,” Manigault Newman told NPR on Friday, adding: “Hearing it changed everything for me.”
In her book, Manigault Newman claims to have heard a summary of the recording during a phone call.
“On this phone conversation, I was told exactly what Donald Trump said — yes, the N-word and others in a classic Trump-goes-nuclear rant — and when he’d said them,” Manigault Newman’s book reads, according to NPR.
“During production he was miked, and there is definitely an audio track,” she wrote, referring to the production of “The Apprentice.”
The White House has blasted Manigault Newman’s book as “riddled with lies and false accusations.”
