NYC mayor removes reporter for asking a question: report

Security for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio reportedly removed a reporter after he attempted to ask the mayor a question.

Kevin Sheehan, a reporter for the New York Post, reportedly approached de Blasio on Sunday at the Dominican Day Parade in Manhattan and asked for his reaction to a story in the Post about his meetings with lobbyists, according to the Post.

Members of New York Police Department security then approached the reporter and took him away from the mayor, the Post reported. The reporter was reportedly escorted a half-block away from where he approached de Blasio.

The Post reported over the weekend that de Blasio’s deputy mayors, commissioners and aides had 136 meetings with lobbyists over a three-month period this spring. Lobbyists from the real estate industry “dominated the talks,” the Post reported.
