Kathy Griffin attacks Trump for McCain condolences: ‘Take his name out of your mouth’
Comedian Kathy Griffin went after President Trump for his expression of condolences to Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) family.
“Take his name out of your mouth you piece of shit,” Griffin wrote on Twitter Saturday evening.
{mosads}“You maligned his military service while you did everything to avoid serving. You attacked him repeatedly while you knew he was dying,” Griffin continued.
“And you cozied up to Putin while he did everything he could to oppose him,” she wrote. “F— you.”
The president tweeted out his condolences to the McCain family earlier Saturday night.
My deepest sympathies and respect go out to the family of Senator John McCain. Our hearts and prayers are with you!

McCain died from brain cancer on Saturday at the age of 81.
He and the president had clashed repeatedly.
Griffin is also a frequent critic of Trump.
Last Tuesday, she highlighted an old tweet from his former attorney, Michael Cohen, about 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton going to prison.
Griffin sent the tweet just hours after ABC News reported on Cohen’s plea deal with federal prosecutors over campaign finance and tax fraud violations.
