Viral photo shows teens stopping for the national anthem

The actions of four teenage boys have gone viral after a photo showed them halting for the national anthem.

According to CBS News, the boys were on their way to a football game at Bullock Creek High School in Midland, Mich., when they stopped in the middle of a parking lot and took off their hats to salute the flag.

A person identified as Mike Ullery Jr., snapped a photo of the young men and said in post that has since gone viral on Facebook that he was “impressed” by their patriotism.

{mosads}”I was impressed by these Bullock Creek boys. Running late to the game they heard the national anthem and stopped, took off their hats and placed hands over heart,” Ullery wrote in a Facebook post including the photo. “Respect.”

“I was just proud of them, so I just snapped a picture and hoped it would get back to them when I posted it on Facebook,” Ullery told CBS News later on Monday.

The photo has racked up more than 1,300 shares since it was posted on Friday.
