Police investigating racist and threatening letters sent to 10-year-old Muslim: ‘You’re a terrorist’
Police are reportedly investigating after a 10-year-old Muslim girl in Boston received multiple threatening letters in her cubby at her elementary school.
Police in Framingham, Massachusetts, are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime after two letters were left in the girl’s cubby at Hemenway Elementary School.
The letter found by the fifth-grade student said “you’re a terrorist,” along with the girl’s last name, according to Boston 25 News.
Another note found by the girl said “I will kill you.”

{mosads}School officials alerted the police after finding the second note, according to the news station.
“It’s pretty disgusting,” Jamaal Siddiqui, the girl’s uncle, told Boston 25 News. “Threatening a child for no apparent reason.”
Robert Tremblay, the superintendent of the school district, said the district is conducting an investigation into the incident.
In partnership with @FraminghamPD, @FraminghamPS is investigating a possible hate crime at Hemenway Elementary School. It is not lost on me the harm this has caused the family & the greater Muslim community. We stand with you. We will not accept hate. https://t.co/Gtm4mg36nA pic.twitter.com/HWAQq2uXc4

He added that his school district is not the only place where “hate” has become a problem.
“We are taking this very, very seriously,” Tremblay said. “We don’t believe there is any imminent danger to the school. But when you think about a child in fifth grade, that kind of hate, where does that come from?”
“This is a pervasive problem around hate that we have to take a stand on and address,” Tremblay said.
A noticeable police presence was also seen outside the school Wednesday, according to Boston 25.
