Angela Merkel’s plane diverted on way to G-20
German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s plane was diverted because of technical issues as it traveled to Argentina for the Group of 20 (G-20) largest economies summit.
The plane safely landed in Cologne, a government spokesperson told CNN. The delay caused Merkel to reschedule some meetings.
{mosads}Reporters were told the plane was getting a replacement part to deal with an electronics system malfunction.
Pictures show several emergency response officials surrounding the plane after it landed, though no injuries were reported.

The two-day summit will begin Friday in Buenos Aires amid growing frustration among world leaders surrounding President Trump’s trade policies and deteriorating relationships with his foreign counterparts.
