John Kerry on his message to Trump: ‘Resign’

Former Secretary of State John Kerry had a simple message for President Trump on Tuesday, saying he should “resign.”

Kerry was speaking on a discussion panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, when he was asked what his message to Trump would be, according to CNBC.

{mosads}Kerry was at first hesitant to answer the question, saying Trump “doesn’t take any of this seriously.”

“He doesn’t have an ability to have that kind of conversation,” Kerry said after debating whether to answer or not.

He ultimately responded directly to the question, which prompted laughter and clapping from the audience.

Trump was also supposed to be in Davos this week for the forum, but canceled the trip due to the ongoing partial government shutdown that is now in its second month.

The president once again lashed out at the media over the event in a Tuesday morning tweet.

“Last time I went to Davos, the Fake News said I should not go there,” he wrote. “This year, because of the Shutdown, I decided not to go, and the Fake News said I should be there. The fact is that the people understand the media better than the media understands them!”
