Protesters Arrested Outside Civic Center in Denver
Protesters had a confrontation with police last night around the Civic Center roughly a mile from the Pepsi Center in Denver, with 100 being taken into custody, The Denver Post is reporting.
Two officers used pepper spray to deter protesters around 7 p.m. last night. The protesters were affiliated with the umbrella protest group Recreate 68.
A group spokesman claimed that the group had done nothing wrong and that it had a permit for the protests.
The 100 arrestees were taken to the temporary processing center set up by Denver police in a former warehouse, according to The Denver Post.
