YouTube Asks Convention Goers to Make Videos at Pepsi Center
YouTube is asking convention visitors to make their own videos inside the Pepsi Center at the Democratic convention in Denver, filming them at a booth and uploading them to the website on location.
Convention goers are asked to step in front of a tripod-held camera and record “video nominations” for Barack Obama. YouTube staffers then upload them to YouTube’s convention site; the top videos of each day will be cut together into a highlight reel, YouTube says.
YouTube has another station set up at The Big Tent–an 8,00 square foot structure set up in downtown for bloggers and new media journalists–where similar videos are being made.
