Meghan McCain wishes grandmother a happy 107th birthday

Meghan McCain wished her grandmother, Roberta McCain, a happy 107th birthday on Twitter on Thursday.

The co-host of “The View” shared a photo with the family matriarch, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a close friend of John McCain’s.

“Happy 107th Birthday to my grandmother Roberta McCain – you are the epitome of strength and grace, an American treasure and one of my life role models,” Meghan McCain tweeted. “Thank you for showing me and so many others how to truly live life on your own terms. I love you.”

{mosads}Roberta McCain’s son, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), died in August at the age of 81 just more than a year after being diagnosed with brain cancer. The 106-year-old attended her son’s funeral service in Washington, D.C.

The late senator praised his mother in one of his books, crediting her for “the strengths she taught [him] by example.”
