Kim Jong Un impersonator deported from Vietnam ahead of summit with Trump

A man known for impersonating Kim Jong Un has been deported from Vietnam just days before President Trump’s meeting with the North Korean leader.

Howard X, who is a Hong Kong resident, and Russell White, a Trump impersonator, were questioned by Hanoi police last week after staging a fake Trump-Kim summit, according to Agence France-Presse.

Howard X said that Vietnamese officials then deported him because his visa is “invalid,” but added that he thinks it is because Kim has “no sense of humor.”

{mosads}”The real reason is I was born with a face looking like Kim Jong Un, that’s the real crime,” he told AFP, saying that he received no additional explanation for the deportation.

“Satire is a powerful weapon against any dictatorship,” Howard X said. “They are scared of a couple of guys that look like the real thing.”

White was allowed to stay in the country, but was told to stop impersonating the U.S. president in public, according to the report.

The real Trump and Kim are expected to meet in Hanoi this week for their second summit to discuss ongoing denuclearization negotiations and other issues.

Howard X also visited Singapore last June ahead of the summit between the two leaders, where he said he was also detained and questioned by authorities.
