Conservatives celebrate as Cher questions California sanctuary policy
Conservatives on social media celebrated as Cher, a longtime critic of President Trump’s, questioned whether California can take care of more migrants, saying the state already “can’t take care of its own.”
The tweet appeared to be in response to a controversial proposal by President Trump to send undocumented immigrants to sanctuary cities.
“I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN,” Cher wrote on a post Sunday. “If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS)How Can it Take Care Of More.”

The post from Cher was a sharp contrast to her usual critiques of Trump, whom she has consistently ripped on Twitter. Just on Saturday, Cher hit at the White House’s climate change policy, linking to a New York Times story about Central American farmers coming to the United States because of the changes in climate.
“Trump may not believe in climate change, but Starving people Crashing his wall Might be his wake up call.Dont know how much fun it’ll be spending All Those ilI-Gotten Gains in a world that Feels like a Perpetual SAUNA,” Cher wrote in her tweet.

Cher has also knocked Trump for his views on immigration and his long-desired wall at the U.S.-Mexico border.
