German circus opts for cruelty-free holograms instead of live animals
A circus in Germany has opted to use holograms to put on a show without harming animals.
{mosads}The Circus Roncalli, which was founded in 1976, recently switched from using live animals to holographic displays for its performances, BuzzFeed reported. The circus reportedly started slowly phasing out live animals from its show in the 1990s.
Many animal rights activists praised the move, with one Twitter user saying “this is the way forward” and that “all circuses should follow suit.”
A German circus joins the fight against animals being used for entertainment, by having holographic images of animals in their shows. Beautiful and amazing. This is the way forward. All circuses should follow suit. No animal should ever be abused for our so called ‘entertainment’ pic.twitter.com/GFSCCV14Y7

Circus Roncalli in Germany is now using holograms of animals. Visually impressive and no harm to animals. Excellent initiative, animals are not tools for our entertainment.

While technology is used to recreate the animals used in the show, the circus has non-automated clowns, acrobats, magicians and other usual acts.
