A 103-year-old Florida woman became a U.S. citizen Friday, CNN reported.

Andrea Joseph, who was born on Aug. 15, 1915, in Jacmel, Haiti, came to the U.S. and became a permanent resident more than 15 years ago, WPLG reports.

“We obviously didn’t think this would ever come true,” Joseph’s granddaughter, Mildred Ogé, told CNN. “This is a great accomplishment for my grandmother.”

“She’s happy,” Ogé said. “She’s like, ‘How nice! How sweet!'”

“To have this happen today, on June 14, we’re excited and overjoyed by this achievement,” Ogé said.
