Steele didn’t know about Sanford’s trip
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele said Wednesday he was just as clueless as anyone about South Carolina GOP Gov. Mark Sanford’s mysterious disappearance recently.
Steele said he was in the Senate to prepare for this summer’s political fight over health care reform and that he had no knowledge of why Sanford went to Argentina.
“I have nothing to say about that,” Steele said. “I’ve been getting busy for health care.”
