Primary challenger for Sen. Bennet files
He is set to challenge appointed Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) in a primary, and his announcement comes a day after former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton (R) filed her own exploratory committee.
From the Denver Post:
Former state House Speaker Andrew
Romanoff announced today he has filed the paperwork with the Federal
Election Commission required for him to challenge U.S. Senator Michael
Bennet in a Democratic primary.
Romanoff could not be reached for comment, but the filing was announced in a news release.
“He will make a public announcement of his intentions next week,” the release stated.
