Poll: Obama most popular in DC, Hawaii
Over the first six months of his presidency, President Obama was popular in Washington, D.C., Hawaii and Vermont, Gallup found in an analysis released today.
Gallup averaged the state-by-state responses of its polls between January and June. The results: 92% of DC-ers approved of Obama, followed by 75% in Obama’s birth state oh Hawaii, and 74% in Vermont.
Obama’s lowest marks came from Wyoming, where just 46% of respondents approved of his job performance. Wyoming and Alaska were the only two states where Obama’s average job approval was less than 50%.
