Viral video shows senior couple reunited after pandemic lockdown separation
A video that has gone viral shows an elderly couple who reunited after being apart for months due to coronavirus pandemic lockdowns.
Mary and her husband, Gordon, were staying at different nursing homes in Mansfield, England, and were kept apart due to coronavirus restrictions. Gordon was recently able to move into his wife’s nursing home to be with her, ITV reported.

“Our lovely Mary has had a real surprise today … her beloved husband Gordon has come to live here at Baily House with her, after not seeing each other for several months, it was certainly a very emotional reunion,” Baily House Care Home posted on Facebook.

“We can’t touch each other, can we?” Mary asked a nurse before hugging her husband.
Restrictions on nursing homes loosened on April 12. Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that bringing families back together was a top priority.
