Huckabee no fan of two-state solution
A two-state solution in the middle east is “virtually unrealistic,” says Mike Huckabee.
The former Presidential candidate made the remarks during a trip to Israel.
“The question is should the Palestinians have a place to call their own? Yes, I have no problem with that,” Huckabee said, according to the AP.
“Should it be in the middle of the Jewish homeland? That’s what I think has to be honestly assessed as virtually unrealistic,” he added.
Yesterday, Huckabee took a shot at the Obama administration for pressuring Israel to stop condoning Jewish settlements.
“My question is how would the government of the United States feel if Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu began to dictate which people could live in the Bronx, which ones could live in Manhattan, and which could live in Queens,” Huckabee said.
Meanwhile, the Southern Baptists appearance in Israel has sparked a handful of protests in Jerusalem.
