LAPD investigating rapper T.I. after sexual assault allegations

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is investigating rapper T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris after sexual assault allegations emerged against the couple.

The LAPD confirmed the investigation to USA Today but did not give any additional details.

Two women recently accused the couple of drugging and sexually assaulting them, with one of the alleged victims filing a report with the LAPD and the other with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

In the LAPD report, the woman alleges the assault happened in 2005, with T.I. sexually assaulting her while his wife watched. She believes the couple spiked a drink she had earlier in the night. The accuser is currently anonymous.

Rachelle Jenks filed the Las Vegas report and alleges that the couple sexually assaulted her in 2010 after spiking her drink and giving her a white powdered drug.

“It appears the LAPD ‘accuser’ has chosen once again to remain anonymous, thereby preventing us from being in a position to disprove or refute her allegations — or even examine them,” Steve Sadow, counsel for T.I. and his wife, said, USA Today reported.

“Meanwhile, although we now appear for the first time to have the name of an ‘accuser’ who supposedly filed a police report with LVPD, we have absolutely zero details about her or her claim,” Sadow continued.

These are just the two most recent allegations; 11 others have alleged “forced drugging, kidnapping, rape, and intimidation” by the couple, Tyrone Blackburn, the attorney representing the accusers, said, according to USA Today.

T.I. addressed the allegations back in January on Instagram.

“Whatever we ever have done, has been done with consensual adults. … We ain’t never forced nobody, we ain’t never drugged nobody against their will, we ain’t never held nobody against their will, we ain’t never made nobody do anything,” T.I. said in a video. “I ain’t never raped nobody, never raped nobody.”

The Hill has reached out to the LAPD for comment.
