College student goes viral on TikTok after bystander catches him giving belongings away to homeless man
A Florida college student went viral on TikTok this week after a bystander caught him getting out of his car to give away some of his belongings to a homeless man.
In the video, the student, later identified by ABC’s Tallahassee, Fla., affiliate WTXL as Florida A&M University student Jabari Richardson, can be seen opening his trunk and handing clothes and shoes to a man holding a sign reading, “Anything helps,” and “God Bless.”
The driver who was stopped behind Richardson off a local I-10 exit captured the moment and posted it on TikTok with the song, “The Good Ones” by country singer Gabby Barrett playing over it.
The user also added the caption, “I don’t know this young man but he deserves to go viral.”
As of Friday, the video had gained more than 4 million views.

Richardson told WTXL that he was in the process of moving when he stopped his car, and decided he wanted to give some of his things away instead of selling them.
“As I was growing up, my mom always taught me there’s a lot of people that are in need,” he told the local news outlet. “Not Everyone’s blessed as I am.”
“My Mom always had clothes and shoes on my back,” he explained. “I can definitely take that for granted. Anything can be gone in the blink of an eye.”
