Suspect in 4 shooting deaths surrenders to police in Arizona

A suspect who is wanted in connection to a quadruple homicide in Wisconsin turned himself into police in Arizona on Friday, according to authorities.

In a Facebook post Friday, Sheriff Kevin Bygd with the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin reported that Antoine Darnique Suggs had surrendered himself to the police department in Gilbert, Ariz., on their warrant.

“Suggs has been living in the Phoenix, AZ area recently before traveling back to Minnesota in the last couple of weeks. At this time, it’s unknown how Suggs traveled back to Arizona this week,” Bygd said in his statement, noting at the time that Suggs had not yet been interviewed.

“He will be transported to Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix, AZ awaiting extradition to Wisconsin,” Bygd added.

It was not immediately clear if someone was representing Suggs.

Earlier this week, the sheriff’s office learned that four people had been found dead in an abandoned black SUV parked in a Wisconsin cornfield. The victims — two males and two females — had all been from Minnesota and had apparently died of gunshot wounds, according to a preliminary examination.

Authorities reported on Thursday that a second suspect, Darren Lee McWright, who was wanted in connection to case had been arrested and was held at Ramsey County Jail in Minnesota.

McWright has been charged with four counts of hiding a corpse, according to The Associated Press. According to a complaint filed against McWright, he is Sugg’s brother’s biological father.

Authorities were told by witnesses that one of the victims had reportedly been seen with Suggs last Saturday evening at a bar in St. Paul, Minn. according to the complaint, the wire service noted.
