Dan Quayle announces his son’s run for Congress during Fox News appearance
Dan Quayle announced Friday his son is running for Congress. Attorney Ben Quayle (R) will seek the open seat in Arizona’s 3rd district, the former vice president told Fox News Channel.
Rep. John Shadegg (R) has announced he won’t seek reelection, prompting several GOPers to enter the fray.
Quayle praised his 33-year-old son as the “next generation of leadership.”
“We are convinced that he will be successful and we’re very hopeful that he’ll be the next congressman for the 3rd congressional district,” he said. “I’ll do whatever he wants me to do or whatever he doesn’t want me to do.”
