Campaign update: Vitter, Massa, Blunt … Norris!?

Important and not-so-important (see: Norris endorsement) campaign items from over the weekend:

New Orleans Councilman At-Large Arnie Fielkow will not run against either Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) or freshman Rep. Joseph Cao (R-La.).

Corning, N.Y., Mayor Tom Reed won’t run for reelection. Will he run against freshman Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.)?

A 24-year old (just turned last week) wants to take on Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.). What were you doing at 24?

After failing to recruit Tom Schweich to run against Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) in the Senate race, former Sen. John Danforth (R-Mo.) has decided to back Blunt. Steelman is dubious, as well as a Dave Matthews fan.

Chuck Norris strikes again, endorsing former Rep. John Kasich (R) in the Ohio governor’s race.

In case you were wondering, Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) will be just fine in 2010.

Memphis Mayor Willie Herenton was not joking about primarying Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.).

Ohio Secretary of State and Senate candidate Jennifer Brunner (D) continues to suffer bad press after attempting to transfer equipment from her state campaign to her federal campaign.
