Rep. Jim Gerlach (R-Pa.) on Thursday officially opened an exploratory committee and launched a website for a gubernatorial run in 2010.
Gerlach had previously said he planned to form an exploratory committee, but on Thursday he took the actual step of filing with the Pennsylvania Department of State.
“We are taking this process one step at a time. At this early stage we are very excited about the support we’ve received, and that’s why I’ve decided to move forward with the exploratory committee,” Gerlach said.
