Ensign’s Iowa ad (sort of)

We reported last month that Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) was planning a trip to Iowa in early June, a move sure to raise some eyebrows as Republicans posture themselves for possible 2012 Presidential bids.

Now, the group sponsoring Ensign’s trip, the American Future Fund, is running a radio ad in the state touting Ensign’s conservative credentials.

“One of the Senate’s leading conservatives and considered a rising star in the conservative movement, Senator Ensign will ofer conservative solutions to the challenges we face,” the narrator says. “Don’t miss this free opportunity to meet Senator Ensign.”
