DCCC aims to make issue of Sessions’s comments
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is trying to make in issue of National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Pete Sessions’s (R-Texas) recent suggestion that President Obama sabotaged the economy in an effort to gain power for his party.
The release that is going out to 34 districts:
Does Representative Thaddeus McCotter Agree That President Obama Is ‘Trying To Deliberately Kill Jobs and Drive the Stock Market Down?’
First there was Rush Limbaugh openly rooting for President Obama to fail. Now Congressman Pete Sessions, Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, added the bizarre claim that President Obama is trying to deliberately kill jobs and drive the stock market down. All of this begs the question: does Representative Thaddeus McCotter agree with these two leading voices of the Republican Party?
“Representative Thaddeus McCotter has to decide whether or not he will strongly denounce the shameful rhetoric of NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions accusing President Obama of deliberately trying to kill jobs and sink the stock market,” said Ryan Rudominer, National Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
“Representative McCotter’s response to Chairman Sessions’ bizarre comments will tell us all we need to know about whether McCotter stands with President Obama’s plans to invest in America’s success or with the Republican Party’s leaders in banking on failure.”
