Candidates to Head RNC Answer Conservative Quiz

Answers by the six declared candidates to head the Republican National Committee (RNC) to a questionnaire examining their dedication to the GOP and conservatism has emerged, with each candidate stressing their own accomplishments and ideological dedication.

Answers to all 37 questions posed by RNC Committeeman and Leadership Institute President Morton Blackwell were obtained by blogger Matt Lewis, who posted them to the conservative Townhall.com Tuesday.

Michigan Republican Party Chairman Saul Anuzis, former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Katon Dawson, current RNC Chairman Mike Duncan, former Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Chip Saltsman, and former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele all responded to the lengthy questionnaire.

The candidates answered questions ranging from their commitment to pro-life elements of the Republican platform, and, in a sign of the questions’ timeliness, what each candidate had been doing to help Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) secure reelection in his runoff election.
