Rubio’s not worried about Crist’s Senate decision
Former Florida state House Speaker Marco Rubio (R) said that his run for Senate will not be contingent upon whether or not Gov. Charlie Crist (R) enters the race.
“My decision, which I’ll announce shortly, will not be predicated on what anybody else does,” Rubio told the St. Petersburg Times.
The popular Crist’s entry into the race could pose a hurdle for Rubio’s Senate aspirations. Crist’s camp has done little to tamp down speculation that the governor would enter the race.
In the past month, Rubio was able to raise $250,000 for the Senate race, he tweeted yesterday.
