Hodes leads Sununu in 2010 matchup poll

New Hampshire voters would favor Rep. Paul Hodes (D) over former Sen. John Sununu (R) in a prospective 2010 matchup, a new poll released Tuesday found.

42 percent of voters would vote for Hodes if the election were held today, while 36 percent would vote to send Sununu back to Washington, an American Research Group (ARG) poll found.

22 percent of Granite State votes are undecided, the Republican pollster found.

Sen. Judd Gregg (R), after having withdrawn his nomination to be Commerce secretary, said he would not seek reelection.

Hodes maintains a slight advantage over voters with no party affiliation, beating Sununu 38-31 percent, with another 31 percent undecided.

The poll, conducted Mar. 27-30, has a 4.2 percent margin of error.
