Bush to Dine With Senior Staffers During Election Night

President Bush will be joined by a small group of White House officials for dinner as election returns come in tonight, White House press secretary Dana Perino said Tuesday afternoon.

Bush will be joined by Barry Jackson, Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives and External Affairs, Clay Johnson, Deputy Director for Management at OMB, Joel Kaplan, Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, former RNC Chairman and Bush adviser Ed Gillespie, White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten, Perino, and others, Perino said in an email. The dinner will be in the White House residence.

Johnson, one of the dinner invitees, will sure to be keeping a close eye on the election results–he is the director of the transition project from the Bush administration to the next president’s team.
