William Ayers, the controversial former member of the Weather Underground whose associations with Barack Obama became a major campaign issue in October, voted at the same polling place shortly before the Democratic presidential nominee arrived at his Chicago-area precinct.
According to pool reports, Ayers arrived with his wife at Beluah Shoesmith Elementary School, where Newsweek’s Richard Wolfe first identified him.
“Mr. Ayers, who did you vote for?” a member of the press pool asked, to no response.
