Rep. Levin draws top-tier primary challenger

Rep. Sander Levin (D-Mich.) will face a top-tier primary challenge from a state senator in 2010, setting up a battle for control of Michigan’s 12th congressional district.

State Sen. Mickey Switalski (D) said Saturday that he will challenge Levin, brother of Sen. Carl Levin (D), after being term-limited in his state legislative position.
