Obama Tied to Disgraced Detroit Mayor in New PAC Ad
A new political action committee advertisement aimed at Michigan voters ties Barack Obama with former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, as well as more familiar targets William Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
“Barack Obama and his friends represent the wrong kind of change for Michigan and America,” the narrator says in the 60 second ad, produced by Our Country Deserves Better PAC. The Sacramento, California-based PAC has spent over $330,000 opposing Obama through October 15, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings.
“He hopes you’ll forget about the racist and anti-American rantings from his pastor of over 20 years, Rev. Jeremiah Wright,” the narrator says before running two extended clips of some of Wright’s more incendiary videos.”
“And Obama really doesn’t want Michigan voters to remember the political alliance he formed with disgraced Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick,” the ad says, running clips of Obama lauding Kilpatrick, who resigned as Mayor of Detroit after pleading guilty to obstruction of justice and perjury charges.
