Toomey may face hurdle as another conservative eyes Specter

Club for Growth Chairman Pat Toomey will not be the only Republican challenging Sen. Arlen Specter (R) in 2010’s GOP Senate primary.

Anti-abortion activist and 1998 gubernatorial candidate Peg Luksik is considering entering the race, potentially throwing a kink in Toomey’s chances to knock off Specter in the primary.

“I’d say I’ve moved past maybe, or possibly, to ‘strongly leaning in that direction,'”
