Website Touts Gillibrand For Senate
Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand (D), mentioned as a possible Senate appointee in New York, now has a website touting her for the vacant post.
Select Gillibrand for Senate urges her backers to call Gov. David Paterson (D-N.Y.) and urge him to choose the second-term congresswoman as the successor to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D).
The site takes some thinly veiled shots at Caroline Kennedy, who has waged a more overt campaign for the seat than Gillibrand and other contenders.
