Coleman Withdraws More Challenges in Minnesota
Sen. Norm Coleman’s (R-Minn.) campaign announced another round of challenges it had withdrawn to ballots in Minnesota’s contested Senate race against Democrat Al Franken.
Coleman’s campaign withdrew another 225 challenges, bringing their total number of withdrawn challenges to 1,350 since the conclusion of the state’s hand recount.
The campaign had challenged roughly 4,500 ballots in total, and has 900 ballot challenges still outstanding preceding the state’s Board of Canvassers meeting December 19 to determine the validity of the challenges.
