DSCC Says Martin Within Striking Distance
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) claimed Democrat Jim Martin is within striking distance of Sen. Saxby Chambliss in a new poll they released Monday.
The DSCC poll showed Chambliss leading Martin 48-46 percent, within the poll’s four percent margin of error. Because the race is a runoff of the November 4th contest, either candidate will need a simple majority to win.
