Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) leads the House member he beat in 2006, Anne Northup (R), according to two recently released polls.
Yarmuth leads Northup 57 percent to 40 percent in a SurveyUSA poll. He leads 51 percent to 43 percent in an internal Republican poll, according to Swing State Project.
Northup had served five terms in the House before losing to Yarmuth 48 percent to 51 percent in 2006. She lost a Republican gubernatorial primary last year against then-Gov. Ernie Fletcher (R).
