A liberal group is knocking John McCain’s campaign for allowing the Stars and Stripes to touch the ground at a recent campaign event.
A local television crew spotted an oversized American flag on the ground as workers dismantled the stage after a Monday rally in St. Charles, Mo.
Jeremy Funk, spokesman for Americans United for Change, said that letting the flag hit the ground is a no-no.
