Obama Has $134 Million to McCain’s $47 Million in Cash on Hand
Barack Obama is enjoying a significant spending advantage over John McCain during the final month of the presidential campaign, according to federal fundraising reports.
Obama ended September with $133.6 million in cash on hand, while McCain had just $47 million, reports the Associated Press. Obama also raised another $150 million for October. McCain wasn’t able to raise any money for his own campaign’s account because he accepted public campaign funds and the spending limits that come with them.
McCain, however, will get some help from the Republican National Committee, which had $77 million in cash on hand at the start of October. The Democratic National Committee had just $27.4 million.
