Hawaii Democratic Sen. Danial Akaka has endorsed Barack Obama.
In a statement, Akaka called Obama “the antidote” to “uninspired, partisan politics.”
The Hawaii Senator also made a point to express his “highest regard” for Senate colleague Hillary Clinton and her husband President Bill Clinton.
The Akaka endorsement is the fourth superdelegate netted by the Obama campaign today, following the endorsements of Maine Rep. Tom Allen, Idaho state party chair Keith Roark and fellow Hawaii superdelegate Dolly Strazar.
