Springsteen Rails Against Bush

While Bruce Springsteen is going around the Rust Belt playing concerts for Barack Obama, he’s getting in a few shots at President Bush.

On Saturday in Philadelphia, Springsteen said that Americans had “justifiably lost faith” in the American Dream under Bush, the Associated Press reported.

“After the disaster of the last eight years, we need somebody to lead us in an American reclamation project,” Springsteen added.

On Sunday, at Ohio State University he took on both Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

“Despite the terrible erosion to our standing in the world, we remain for many people a house of dreams,” Springsteen said. “And 1,000 George Bushes and 1,000 Dick Cheneys will never be able to tear that house down.”Springsteen, a New Jersey native, also performed for Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) during the 2004 presidential campaign. Springsteen, Billy Joel and John Legend will play a concert on Obama’s behalf in New York City on Oct. 16.
