Group Calls Rep. Musgrave Corrupt in New TV Ad
Rep. Marilyn Musgrave (R-Colo.) is one of the most corrupt members of Congress, an released by an outside action group this week alleges.
A 30 second spot from the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund says Musgrave is “trying to hide,” and accuses her of intentionally giving tax breaks to donors, and voting for legislation that would have personally enriched her.
The Defenders of Wildlife have actively worked against Musgrave in the race, spending over $450,000 in the last two weeks to attack Musgrave, Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings show. The group spent $210,000 on a media buy opposing Musgrave in June.
Musgrave faces a tough reelection challenge from Demcrat Betsy Markey. Though Colorado’s 4th Congressional Distric is considered to heavily favor Republicans, the Cook Political Report rates the Musgrave-Markey race as a “toss up.”
