Willie Brown Takes on Invesco’s Elevators

Invesco Field is beginning to feel like an insane asylum.

Go up certain ramps and one can only reach floors 3 and 5. And only certain elevators take you to floor 4. Round and round people go and no one in authority seems to know how to get anywhere.

On an elevator ride from the fourth to the first floors, the elevator reaches capacity with a bell blaring to indicate too much weight. On board and smashed in the masses is former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown (D), smoothly dressed in pinstripe suit. Soon, things grow testy as two men with large boxes come on and raise them directly above Brown’s head. Finally the elevator reaches floor 2, but Brown can’t seem to find a clear path out.

“Out on two!” he began in an already raised voice. “Out on two,” he continued. “Out on two,” he said for a third time and finally made his way off the elevator safe and uninjured.
