Obama Lines over One Mile Long
Spectators are standing and walking in lines over one mile long to see Barack Obama speak at Invesco Field tonight in Denver.
The line snakes under highway overpasses and around parking lots on the outskirts of the nearby Pepsi Center, finally ending near the edge of downtown Denver, a mile from Invesco Field.
Speech goers are walking freely at points, and the journey up to security checkpoints fifty yards from Invesco through one of the lines takes about an hour. Volunteers are handing out free bottles of water to those making the trek.
Spectators unanimously agree seeing Obama speak is worth the wait, as many have taken much longer journeys from outside Denver to be there.
“Oh, absolutely,” one speech goer said when asked if the line was worth it.
“It’s not as bad as it looks like it’s going to be,” another said.
